Moses Martin sold to Ephraim Mikell and Joseph Sealey a Negro man and an Indian woman, 5 Apr 1723.[1] This is probably the same Indian woman, Jenny, named in his will.
Ephraim Mickele (Mikell) in his will dated 12 Feb 1728/9, named the following enslaved persons:[2]
- mustee boy called James, willed to grandson John Mickele (Mikell)
- Indian wench Jenny - to be given freedom immediately upon his death, and she was to be paid 5 shillings yearly by his executors.
